Exciting Friday!

I just opened my email and Miss Jamie from Happy Mail also known from Inspired Mess, sent me my Happy Mail people for February!! I am so excited because this is my first time and I LOVE meeting new people!! I got 2 lovely people and I am already thinking of what I should make for them!

The first person I got was the famous Janel! I was very happy to get her because I look at her blog EVER DAY, and she is one of my favorites!! I also read her survey and couldn't believe how much some of our answers were so alike!! :)

The next person I got was Belen! I am excited to get to know her! I have read some of her blogs and she seems like a very cool gal :). I noticed she has her own boutique where she sells things handmade and that is so inspiring! I also love that fact she is from California I love it there!

Anywho! Tomorrow I will be getting my hair done I am so excited I am going back to all blonde :) My hair is finally starting to grow back out, *I miss my long hair*!! I will post pictures of it tomorrow please pray for me though I will be bringing both my wild childs since my parents are out of town *crosses fingers* I pray they won't be too bad. haha

Busy day!

I have been constantly busy with both kiddos both want to be held and have mommy's full attention all day! I feel like I can't sit down for 2 minutes! Whew! We'll while one was asleep I made some more hair clips!

I feel so worn out and it is only 4 in the afternoon. I guess it's because both kids now wake up at 6 in the morn :(. I even tried going to sleep at 8 last night but that was WAY too early for me I woke up at 2 and couldn't fall back to sleep :/... Hopefully I will get some rest tonight!

Today has been one busy day for this momma! I am worn out literally! I never would have thought I would be dealing with my almost 2 year old and 9 month old fighting over toys already but let me tell you they do! Whew! Motherhood Oh So Fun!!

The good thing about having a child is you NEVER have the time to be bored, or nothing to talk about when it comes to our little ones!!

Kurt and I decided to take the kids outside because we FINALLY had some warm weather and I was so excited to be able to put sage in some shorts no shoes and Ava in a summer dress!! Sage was so happy because he loves the outdoors just like I did when I was little, he was running around and laughing!! We'll Sage came running towards us a little too fast and got his first boo boo :(. He broke my heart to seem his little teeny weeny knees all scrabed up and even the tops of his feet were bleeding. know now not to let him outside without pants or shoes on... here's his little boo boo pic :(

After that little accident we decided to go to Kurt's good friends house, James which by the way they (Kurt & James) are dirt bike fans BIG dirt bike fans! When we got there They had a little mini dirt bike that the 5 years old ride and Kurt put Sage on it because, he keeps on saying Sage is gonna be a dirt bike racer when he gets older! he he (Kurt's dream) He got a pic of Sage on it and he loved it!!

Any who I got a picture of Ava this morning trying to crawl and she rocks lol. The girl cracks me up she scoots backwards and let me tell you I can't even count how many times I have found her halfway under the couch! lol Another thing she does which her Grandmawmaw taught her btw, when you say "Ava rock out!" She nods her had and moves her body and puts a huge smile on her face! It makes me feel that little warm feeling in my tummy because it's amazing that I've created such a beautiful, adorable, SASSY little baby! Moms you know what I mean!! ;)

It's Been Awhile!!

It's been a couple of days of me not posting anything up and I apologize to my followers! My babies have been keeping me busy!! This past weekend was fun because me and Kurt got to spend some time together and the kids LOVE their daddy Kurt! hehe, We got to go to my favorite ice cream shop Marble Slab! I got my favorite flavor cream cheese, and added chocolate chips! They were Oh so YUMMY!! I took some pictures this weekend!

Any who I have been working on my sister's V-Day swap!I never thought it would have taken me so long to do, but it has!! I first started off with thinking "Hey I'm going to make my own handmade cards with no problem!" I didn't think about the fact I have barely any money, because I depend on Kurt right now for everything (no child support :() but anyways, no money and 2 kids to take to Hobby Lobby is a pain when I have a 2 year old who wants out of the buggy and wants to grab at everything and a sassy 9 month old who wants to be held 24/7! lol... I didn't think about any of that, so I went ahead and went to Hobby Lobby and looked for all my supplies and the thing I hate is I will have something in my head of what I'm going to do but when I get to the store I loose it and then I get overwhelmed with everything in that store and then have no clue what to do! lol. I made literally about 10 trips in 2 days to the store for this V-day swap! Any who I finally figured out what I wanted to do, spent way too much money, and went home to start it... I finally got ONE card done after an hour of work and thought to myself there is no way I could make 25 more of these with 2 kids to take care of! So, after all that I just decided to take all the million things I bought back , and just went to Target to buy some already made cards! ha ha WOW Next time I will think about this when I just jump into something.... Anyways that is how my weekend went!

I Heart My Pillow :)

There are several projects I am currently working on and one I finally finished was my pillow I have been working on for a couple of days.

I'm VERY proud of it!!

I plan on starting my yarn wreath tomorrow & will be posting up pics when I finish! My third project I am working on is my sister's V-Day Card Swap!

I am really excited about this because I love giving things to people to make them smile :). What is your favorite thing to get on Valentine's Day???

Recipe Wednesday!

One of my favorite desserts I have made a couple times for Christmas & a friend's baby shower are Oreo balls!! They are Oh SO YUMMY!!

Here is the recipe! BTW VERY EASY TO MAKE!!

1 package regular size Oreo cookies, crushed

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 package white almond bark
1 package chocolate almond bark

The Directions :)

1. Using a blender or hand held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together.
2. Roll into walnut size balls.
3. Chill for an hour.
4. Melt approximately 3/4 package of white almond bark.
5. Stick a toothpick in an Oreo ball and dip it in the melted white almond bark.
6. Allow to harden on wax paper.
7. Takes about 15 min.
8. While waiting, melt about 1/4 package of chocolate almond bark.
9. When Oreo balls are no longer sticky to the touch, decorate with drizzles of chocolate and white almond bark.
10. I just use a sandwich bag with a tiny hole cut in one corner to drizzle the almond bark.
11. ENJOY!!

Ice Cream Anyone?

On my sister's blog Pixies&Bears she had a contest to make your favorite dessert and take a picture of it to win a bunch of cute things she would mail to you. Lindsay had mentioned you can either bake it, or make it in a creative way, so I decided to use clay to make my favorite dessert *Ice Cream*! My favorite place to get Ice Cream would be Marble Slab, flavor would be Cream Cheese with chocolate chips in a white chocolate dipped waffle cone bowl its DELICIOUS! !! The fist thing I did was go to the store and buy all my supplies...

Then I molded the clay into a giant ice cream cone! It was hard to mold it, clay is hard as a rock! Once I baked it for about 15 minutes, then after it cooled down I painted it!!

I Think It's a Sign

I don't know why, but the past month I have had 3 deer run out in front of my car! What the heck? lol I don't understand if it's a sign that maybe I should start hunting or what. It could just be a coincidence since it is hunting season, I don't know. I just had to blog about it because not many people have a deer run out in front of them that many times in 1 month! My boyfriend thinks I should now go hunting with him because they seem to like me. ha ha If your wondering why I am bringing this up it's because,yet again last night I was on my way to walmart to get the supplies I needed for my sister's giveaway and in the middle of Denham Springs(which by the way has barely any woods around *its what we call our "city") and here comes a deer running right in front of my car I almost recked and now am terrified that deers are out to get me! lol I may sound retarded but my goodness I am now on the look out!

Sister Project

My sister and I wanted to do a sister project since I am just now starting out so she decided we should do a paper project and she is going to use what I give her to be hung on her garland in her craft room. I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and found papers and stickers of things that my sister enjoys to be used for it. When I got home we both went on Sykpe and created our project together and then showed each other the end result. :)

The first one I did was on her name and what she enjoys to do the most... *COOKING!*

I used pink card stock for the background because pink is one of her favorite colors and it went well with the cooking paper I used. I found the letters with buttons on them and had to use them, because she loves her buttons! One of her favorite treats are cupcakes and Sm ores.

I had left over papers and stickers owls and panda bears, Two of her favorite animals right now so I went ahead and made 2 more ,because she said she needed a couple more words in her craft room "Inspire & Love". So here is one of them.

My FAVORITE color is Teal nothing can look bad with teal in it. It brightens up anything and makes me happy when I see it :). Here are some pictures I find beautiful supporting it.

Okay so today I was thinking about something to post on my blog and why not pictures that make me smile? I figure it would be fun to do and I LOVE, LOVE, did I say LOVE pictures!?! So I thought this would be fun, so I hope you all enjoy :)

Cupcakes! Omg this reminds me of when I was little my momma would always make me cupcakes for my birthday and I would pass them around in class. It was so exciting to me to give every one a special treat :)

What a BLAH day!

Today was pretty boring, I woke up did my normal motherly duties taking care of my lil momma and lil man, which don't get me wrong I LOVE spending time with them, but doing the same routine everyday gets old I'm ready to do something fun for ME! lol. So, I'm definitely making an effort to get into my creative side which I'm sure my lovely talented sister Lindsay can help pull that out of me even cooking, maybe? :)

Anywho Lindsay sent me Kaylee's (my neice) baby einstein activity jumper and it came in today!! Ava and Sage both love it! As soon as I seen it I put it together right away and sage was the first one to climb in it hehe he was even handing me parts to help me put it together, such a sweetie!

I wanted to have a picture of Sage or Ava in it but Sage was watching his favorite new show Dinosaur Train and Ava was already alseep.

Tuesday, I woke up thinking I only had a little bit of time to spend with Kurt since he is on middle shift which I hate! He leaves to go to work at 10:30 to be at work for 12 and don't get off till midnight, so yea it sucks! We'll any who so Kurt gets to my house a little late because he woke up late and called his boss and told him he was gonna come in at 1 an hour late which was so sweet. We'll we were fixing to run to walmart for WIC when we both realized half way down the road it was already 11:40 so we turned around I told him bye so he headed to work and I headed to walmart once again! I get halfway there when I get the phone call from Kurt saying he has off! I was so excited, especially since we haven't got to spend much time together because, of his work schedule. So, I turned around met up with him and we spent the whole day and night together it was lovely. :) We finally went to walmart and then we went to our friend Lacey's house for a bit.

Anyways, I am hoping to learn some crafting skills from my sister Lindsay so I can share that with you all soon! I am planning on going to Hobby Lobby sometime this week or weekend to find some new ideas because I need something to do to keep me busy during the day, being a stay at home mommy can be quit boring! We'll I'll be blogging more tomorrow :)

Hello There! To start off my name is Amanda I am a mommy of two precious babies! I have a 22 month old son, sage and a 8 month old daughter, Ava. I am a stay at home mommy and I loved it at first but now I'm hating it. I am really looking forward to going back to work or going to school, but that will have to wait till my lil momma (ava's nickname) is itleast 1 year because daycare is nothing but germs ready to spread! Moving on... I was a single mom of 2 before July 23rd when I met a wonderful guy in my life his name is Kurt Smith how ironic is that? lol He is amazing and so good to me and my babies.

Here's somethings about me... I enjoy getting out of the house and going out to eat *Las Palmas* (my favorite) or to see a good scary movie! I'm always into going to NOLA on the weekend and Halloween excites me!! I never can hold grudges longer than maybe a day if that, because I have a way too kinded heart which gets me into trouble alot. I have Italian, German, & Irish in me. I look forward to the weekend even if I have no plans. When I'm mad or upset driving with the radio turned up and windows down always makes me feel better. I am inlove with the tanning bed I get obsessed once I start! Aerosmith and No Doubt were my first 2 favorite bands and will always be!
